Woodfin Planning Board of Adjustment

The Town of Woodfin Planning Board of Adjustment is a seven-member volunteer board that is appointed by the Woodfin Town Council to perform the responsibilities of a Planning Board and a Board of Adjustment.  These responsibilities include:  

  • Review and make recommendations on zoning text and map amendments prior to final review by the Town Council.
  • Prepare and recommend changes to the comprehensive plan and associated future land use map to the Town Council.
  • Review subdivision plats.
  • Review and make final decision regarding requests for development variances and special use permits; and
  • Hear and make final decision regarding administrative appeals. 
Members of the Woodfin Planning Board of Adjustment must be residents of Woodfin, and all appointments are three-year terms (staggered).   

The Planning Board of Adjustment shall meet the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Woodfin Town Hall or by special meeting called by the Chairperson.
