The Town of Woodfin Board of Commissioners appointed Finance Director Sheri Powers as Interim Town Administrator as its meeting on December 21, 2021.  The appointment is effective as of January 1, 2022.  

After returning from a closed session, Commissioner Edgerton made a motion to appoint Sheri Powers as the Interim Town Administrator and it was unanimously adopted.  Powers has was hired as the Town's first Finance Director in February 2021.  Prior to that, she served as the Business Administrator for almost 10 years with the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.  She was also a Business & Accounting Instructor for AB Technical Community College for several years.

Powers will hold both positions while the Commissioners recruit and hire a permanent Town Administrator.
